After a year of volunteering in Italy, my service has come to an end, and I couldn't be more grateful for such an incredible opportunity. Before this journey, I was a different person. Through it, I’ve grown, learned, stepped out of my comfort zone, faced challenges, and, most importantly, created lifelong memories.

My project with Caritas allowed me to do what I love the most: contributing to the creation of a better, more equal, and empathetic society. My values of solidarity helped me gain knowledge from the people and communities I worked with, including individuals with mental disabilities, the homeless, migrants, refugees, victims of domestic abuse, children, and youth.

In addition to the solidarity project that I participated in, living in Italy was a true blessing. It gave me the chance to travel across the country and visit places I never imagined seeing in my life. There's no doubt that the impact of this experience will stay with me for the rest of my life.
