Was ist der Europäische Freiwilligen Dienst?
Das Europäische Solidaritätskorps (ESK) ist Teil des EU Förderprogramms „Erasmus+“. Ziel des ESK ist es jungen EuropäerInnen im Alter von 18 bis 30 Jahren die Möglichkeit zu geben, durch ihr freiwilliges Engagement im Ausland interkulturelle Erfahrungen zu sammeln und zeitgleich ein europäisches Bewusstsein zu entwickeln. Der EFD dauert 6-12 Monate (in Ausnahmefällen auch kürzer). In dieser Zeit wird über die EU ein Sprachkurs, Taschengeld, Unterkunft und Verpflegung, ein Ticket für den öffentlichen Nahverkehr, An- und Abreise und Versicherung finanziert.
EFD bei youngCaritas
Als FreiwilligeR bei youngCaritas, wirst du direkt in das Team der Mitarbeiter integriert und hast so die Möglichkeit Einblicke in alle Projekte zu bekommen und aktiv an deren Planung, Organisation und Durchführung teilzunehmen (dazu gehören das Sammeln erster Ideen und Infos, die Ausarbeitung und die Durchführung). "[...] in das Team der Mitarbeiter integriert [..]", bedeutet auch bei Teamsitzungen dabei zu sein, keine Scheu zu haben eigene Ideen einzubringen und sich auszuprobieren. Das Aufgabenspektrum ist vielfältig und wird je nach deinen Fähigkeiten, Erfahrungen und Wünschen angepasst. Gemeinsam entscheiden wir, wo du Dich am besten einbringen kannst.
Mögliche Aufgaben könnten sein:
Du hast auch die Möglichkeit, bei verschiedenen Diensten der Caritas mitzuarbeiten. Informationen zu den Diensten der Caritas findest du hier. Dadurch wirst du dich während deines Freiwilligendienstes neben der Jugendarbeit in Südtirol auch mit Themen wie Armut, gesellschaftliche Ausgrenzung, kulturelle Vielfalt, soziale Verantwortung und vielem mehr beschäftigen können.

What is European Solidarity Corps?
European Solidarity Corps (ESC) is an EU sponsored program and part of “Erasmus+”. The goal of ESC is to give young Europeans between 18 and 30 years old the opportunity to gather intercultural experience and develop European awareness through volunteer engagement abroad. An ESC project usually lasts 6-12 months. Sponsored through the EU is a language course, pocket money, stay and board, a ticket for regional public transport, travel to and from the project as well as insurance.
ESC at youngCaritas
As a volunteer at youngCaritas you will be integrated into the team of coworkers and therefore able to get insights into all projects of the team and participate actively in their planning, organization and execution (that is also the first idea generation, information collection, preparation and finally carrying out the planned project). Being “integrated into the team” means participating in team meetings, not being shy to bring in your own ideas, and to try things out. The span of tasks is diverse and depends on the skills, experience, and wishes of the individual volunteer.
